Mr. Franco Io, new General Manager of The China Hotel, A Marriott Hotel in Guangzhou.

After an absence of more than six years, Franco Io has returned to Southern China as the new General Manager of The China Hotel, A Marriott Hotel in Guangzhou.

After previously serving as Director of Rooms and Director of Marketing at The China Hotel, Io honed his hospitality skills at the Renaissance Kota Bharu, JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square, before launching into the mammoth construction and opening of Marriott's 3,000th property - the JW Marriott Hotel Beijing.

The China Hotel has recently undergone a massive renovation. Here in Guangzhou, Io plans nothing less than returning The China Hotel to its Grand Dame standing in this venerable Chinese city that traders from around the world once affectionately called "Canton".

Renowned for his "hands on" approach, guests will always find Io in the hotel's front lobby, attending to the most meticulous personal request of each and every patron.
