The Ying Yuan Hotel (Yingyuan fandian) is situated in a Jiading, a small town to the northwest of Shanghai, locally famous for its ancient culture. The Confucius Temple (Kong miao) and the Fahua Tower (Fahua ta), built in the Song Dynasty (420-479 AD), are near to the hotel. This hotel is not at all convenient for those wishing to just visit the sights of Shanghai, but is interesting for those after something a little more unusual.
From the hotel the Hujia Highway will take you to the city, either 52km to Hongqiao airport, or 48km to the city center or railway station. The hotel is a three star with over 300 rooms that range from economic rooms to suites. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, satellite television, telephones and mini bars.
Besides the more recreational services such as a bar, a night club, a gymnasium, a sauna, a bowling alley, a beauty salon, a dancing hall & a ticket reservation office, the hotel also has a variety of business services, including more than 10 meeting rooms, a multi function hall and a business center with fax, IDD/DDD telephones, typing, photocopying and internet access services.
There are three Chinese restaurants here, the New Ying Yuan Hall, Yingxin Hall and Shenjia Restaurant that between them provide Shanghai, Sichuan and Huaiyang cuisine.
